Awards and Achivements

Over the course of his prolific career, Boretz was honored by numerous acheivements and awards that highlighted his works such as "The Hidden World" (1960) written for Armstrong Cirlce Theater, concerning the hidden truth behind a state school for children with mental disabilities, and "Follow the North Star," a television film written for ABC about the strength of friendship between two young boys as one attempts to escape slavery during the Civil War. Honors such as these along with local achievements, such as Boretz's election to the Woodmere Library Board of Trustees, reflect the areas where Boretz cultivated his interests and passions in order to share them with others.
