Original and Unproduced Plays

Although Boretz's plays did not professionally launch onto the theatrical stages until the 1980s, throughout his career of writing for radio, television, and film, he continually wrote plays that were never developed. While The Wall Between was lauded in its original format on television, one of the only known times it was reproduced on stage was in the United Community Chest of St. Clair County theater's production. However, plays such as Here We Go Again (1942) and Banker's Hours were undeveloped. These scripts serve as a reminder of the difficulties that even accomplished writers such as Boretz faced in securing and succeeding on the theatrical stage.
